2025: A Year in Review
As we step into a new year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect back on the events and impactful year that was 2025. Last year flew by with a flash, and while we’re ready to look forward to what the next chapter brings, it’s important to take the time to look back on the accomplishments, memories, and impactful moments created by our team and community here at LAEC. Take a look at the video to catch the highlights, and read below for our 2025 review.
Serving the Community When It Mattered Most
In January, during the devastating fires that impacted communities across Los Angeles, LAEC operated as an emergency evacuation center for over 400 displaced horses and large animals. During this critical time, the equestrian and broader Los Angeles community came together in an extraordinary show of support.
Thanks to the generosity of community members, local vendors, donors and volunteers, LAEC was able to maintain essential services, provide care for evacuated animals, and support those affected by the fires.
Our collective effort led to the center and the community being recognized with the Burbank “Heart of the City Award” and receiving commendations from Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, LA City, and the California State Senate and Assembly honoring LAEC’s service and impact during the emergency response.
Signature Equestrian Events
Show Me The Money
Show Me The Money brought electrifying competition to LAEC in 2025, bringing together riders and spectators for a high-energy western riding event.
Meteorologist Dani Ruberti from KCAL 9 came with her weather team to spotlight the center in her “Weather In Your Neighborhood” segment. The show had a strong turnout with over 500 horses, adding momentum to the year and bringing an exciting energy to the center.
36th Annual William Shatner Hollywood Charity Horse Show
A cornerstone of LAEC’s event calendar, the 36th Annual William Shatner Hollywood Charity Horse Show returned in 2025, raising money to support children and veterans. This iconic event brought together world-class riders and dedicated supporters to highlight local and national causes.
West Palms MNF Charity Horse Show & Christmas Market
The annual West Palms MNF Charity Horse Show and Christmas Market once again combined high-quality competition with an essential mission of providing more access to the sport for underprivileged youth. Proceeds from the show helped support funding for the Michael Nyuis Foundation, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that offers grants to young riders who have the passion and drive to compete but lack the resources to do so. Riders, trainers, and spectators gathered for an event that highlighted both exceptional talent and meaningful impact within the equestrian community.
U.S. Arena Polo Championships Finals
Hosting the U.S. Arena Polo Championships Finals was a major highlight of the year, bringing national-level arena polo to LAEC’s Equidome. This year marked the return of national polo to the West Coast, so it was an honor to be able to host the matches at LAEC. The Finals showcased elite athleticism and fast-paced championship polo — a truly memorable experience for the polo fans in attendance.
Special Events
The Cortege
The Cortege was an incredible highlight to our fall 2025 at LAEC. The 8 week theatrical show on our Cricket Field delivered a breathtaking spectacle of dance, art, and music, providing a unique immersive experience for visitors to the center.
Equestfest 2025
Equestfest welcomed thousands of visitors to the Equidome Arena, offering an up-close look at the magnificent horses and equestrian units participating in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Rose Parade®. This beloved annual tradition continues to connect the broader community with the artistry and care of parade horses.
Candlelight Concerts by Fever — Year-Long Residency
Throughout 2025, LAEC proudly served as a year-round home for Fever’s Candlelight Concerts. These performances transformed our space into an intimate live music venue night after night — and the magic is set to continue throughout 2026.
The Drone Art Show by Fever
Fever wowed with their Drone Art Show, sending hundreds of drones to light up the night sky. Combined with live classical music, this beautiful show was a night to remember at LAEC.
Street Food Cinema
Street Food Cinema returned to LAEC with outdoor movie nights that brought together families, friends, and film lovers for relaxed evenings under the stars. SFC notably showcased “Pretty Woman” on Cricket Field, the same field where scenes from original movie were filmed in 1989.
LAEC Trading Post
This year we hosted our first Trading Post. Vendors & community members came together for an afternoon of shopping and BBQ - sharing everything from local art pieces, vintage collectors’ items, handmade crafts, and used tack.
Sponsorships & Community
John Deere Sponsorship
In 2025, LAEC welcomed John Deere as a new sponsor. Thanks to John Deere’s partnership, the center was able to welcome a brand-new tractor, providing critical support for daily operations and ongoing maintenance across the property.
DaMoor’s Feed & Tack Opening
We proudly welcomed DaMoor’s Feed & Tack to the center this year. They have served our equestrian community for over 30 years.
